Monks’ Ale update
A reader who saw a Monks’ Ale glass at Falling Rock Tap House in Denver asks if the glasses are for sale. To the best of my knowledge only at at Monk’s Corner in Santa Fe, the gift shop operated by the Monastery of Christ in the Desert. This photo was taken at Monk’s Corner.
The fact that the beer is on tap in Denver (check the comments at Ratebeer.com) should not be taken as a sign of sudden expansion. Brewer Brad Kraus happened to be in Denver and dropped off a keg. Otherwise, you have to look around New Mexico to find the beer.
It’s at Cafe San Estevan, Cafe Paris, Aqua Santa, and Bishop’s Lodge in Santa Fe, Weber’s Grill in Ruidos, Silver City Brewing in Silver City and Lazy Lizard Grill in Sandia Park. It soon should also be on tap (for now it is a draft-only product) at St. Francis Hotel in Santa Fe and Robb’s Ribbs in Albquerque.
A quick aside: Robb’s isn’t fancy but serves some of the best barbecue in the Albuquerque area, keeps two good beers on tap and has a nice wine list.

How cool that it’s in Denver! I hope there’s some left when I get there…
