Sauveur singles out Lost Abbey beers
The food obsessive (in a good way) magazine Saveur has has tapped Lost Abbey beers for its Saveur 100 [not available online].
Last year the magazine put Allagash Brewing on this esoteric list.
Stephen Beaumont (World of Beer) does the honors, concluding: “Lost Abbey’s brews are among the finest examples of Belgian-style beer anywhere. we worship the warm complexity of Cuvee de Tomme, the chocolatey depth of Lost and Found Abbey Ale, and the faintly funky spiciness of Red Barn Ale.”
My take on the first beer released by Lost Abbey, its Avant Garde.
