Ommegang adds director of production

Brewery Ommegang has hired Philip Leinhart as director of production. Leinhart is responsible for oversight on all aspects of brewing and bottling. He manages all daily operations in both brewing and packaging. Brewmaster Randy Thiel continues to develop new beers, oversee quality control, and manage Brewery Ommegang’s ongoing expansion project.

Sauveur singles out Lost Abbey beers

The food obsessive (in a good way) magazine Saveur has has tapped Lost Abbey beers for its Saveur 100 [not available online].
Last year the magazine put Allagash Brewing on this esoteric list.
